Hitachi Regenerative Converters are economical, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective VFD option unit for incorporating energy saving design by re-using excess energy instead of dissipating it as heat. Excess energy is produced when a VFD performs fast deceleration or frequent RUN and STOP actions. Instead of using braking resistors to dissipate excess energy as heat, Regenerative converters such as Hitachi VFD phase converters recycles this energy and returns it to the DC Bus grid, allowing it to be used by other VFDs connected in the same network.
